NASHVILLE, TN — Phelo The Great featuring Jack Ironwood

announces the release of his highly anticipated EP, Iron in the Blood — a six-song collection that resurrects the heart of the American Delta blues and gives it a new pulse for a modern generation.

Rooted in the mud, sweat, and spirit of working-class America, Iron in the Blood is both a confessional and a calling. Each track tells a chapter of one man’s struggle to endure — battling faith, love, addiction, and the relentless grind of survival. With resonator guitar, foot-stomp percussion, and a voice like gravel soaked in gospel, Ironwood delivers a sound that feels carved from wood and bone.

“This record isn’t about pretending the pain doesn’t exist,” says Ironwood. “It’s about turning the pain into music that breathes, sweats, and tells the truth. The blues has always been the story of real people. This is mine.”

Songs like “Whiskey Hymnal” and “Rust on the Halo” echo the haunted resonance of early Delta legends, while “Chain of Smoke” and “River of Ash” expand the sound into a cinematic journey of redemption and reflection.  The track, “Hollow Hallelujah,” serves as the EP’s beating heart — a declaration that struggle, grit, and faith are inseparable in the making of the American soul.

Recorded with minimalist production that honors the raw intimacy of front-porch blues, Iron in the Blood captures the sweat, the silence, and the spirit between every note. Each stomp, slide, and breath is intentional — a living testament to a man who bleeds for his craft.  With this release, Jack Ironwood stands as a torchbearer of modern blues storytelling — bridging the timeless Delta spirit with today’s reality of working men and women searching for grace.
